De i alt 5 sprog/dialekter,
der dagligt tales i Region Sønderjylland-Schleswig fremhæves
ofte som et særkende for området og som et udtryk for den
righoldige kultur. Nu kan man komme til at høre alle sprog i
musik på en ny CD med folkemusikgrupperne Drones & Bellows,
der er baseret i Tønder og Dragseth Duo fra Husum.
Der er tale om et
fælles dansk-tysk musikprojekt, som er støttet af Regionalrådets
pulje til danks-tyske kulturprojekter.
På pladen
vil man kunne høre musik på tysk, plattysk, sønderjysk,
dansk og frisisk.Hovedsagligt gamle tekster, digte og historie som orkestrene
har sat ny musik til og således møet det gamle med det
nye. Og de fælles temaer er fra områderne nord og syd for
grænsen, fra den omfattende fælles kulturarv.

Their recording debut
in 1997, 'Songs of Chanter' was followed 1n 1999 by Bothwell with Brian
McNeill as producer.
Drones & Bellows
and Brian McNeill cooperated so successfully on Bothwell that there was
no question of the collaboration being dropped and the new album features
Brian promenently as a guest musician.
The Dancing Dog is
not just another CD from Drones & Bellows. Unlike its predecessors
The Dancing Dog predominantly features new compositions by the band and
Brian has also contributed a previously unrecorded song.
