Baltinget på banen igen - Alive - Intens, dynamik og swing med dyb respekt for deres traditionelle rødder

Baltinget bekræfter nu deres aktualitet med deres 4. (fulde) CD.
Selv om det efterhånden er 13 år siden at de udgav deres første CD (LIVE -1995) og tog genren med storm, er deres fortsatte varemærke:  Intensitet, dynamik og djævelsk swing  med dyb respekt for deres traditionelle rødder. De er samtidig ikke bange for at gå nye veje. Råstyrken i folkemusikken forenes med moderne rytmiske musik i en række spændende nyfortolkninger af traditionelle danske melodier.
Denne CD er ingen undtagelse. Traditionel dansk folke- og dansemusik i nye fortolkninger.
 
Indspilningerne er alle foretaget i Sønderho på Fanø, delvis  studio-, men også Live optagelser fra Sønderho Forsamlingshus og Café Nanas Stue.
Oprindelig regnes Odense som deres base men efter at deres violinist Tove de Friis har fast bosat sig på Fanø må øen nu regnes som deres anden gode hjemmebane.

Since 1992, Baltinget has been a leading band on the Danish folk scene, a success at numerous folk clubs and folk festivals in Denmark and abroad, including the European Broadcast Union Folk Festival 1996, Tønder Festival 1996 & 1998, and Folk Fest Dranouter (Belgium) 2002.

Baltinget turns the venues upside down with their dynamic, intense and swinging music. The strength of traditional Danish music merges with modern harmonies and forms in compositions by the band, as well as in new and exciting interpretations of traditional tunes.

Daring and untraditional CD which places the band in front on the Danish folk music scene.

The music is traditional Danish folk music fusioned with funk, rock, jazz and latin. The 12 tracks on the CD are very different - varying from calm tunes for listening to tracks going right into your dancing feet.
